Cox has more than 30 years of progressive experience in construction operations, government contracting, and private business. Professional Experience Mr. Cox joined Henkels & McCoy, subsidiary of HMI Services' parent company, Henkels & McCoy Group, in 1999 as Regional Manager of the Mid-Atlantic Region. In 2002, Mr. Cox became Director of the Washington Capital Region for the systems integration group of H&M NetWorks. He was promoted to Vice President of Operations of the Central Region in 2008. Based in Chicago, Mr. Cox was responsible for the operational execution in the power, renewables, gas distribution as well as communications markets in the Midwest and Southeast. In 2012, Mr. Cox was promoted to Regional Vice President and oversaw the strategic direction and operations of the Central Region. Prior to joining Henkels & McCoy, Mr. Cox served as Vice President of Media Technologies, Inc., a leading producer of satellite teleconferences and video productions for the White House. He also served as Director of Production for the House Recording Studio of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he had overall responsibility for providing members of the United States Congress with timely, effective satellite communications to their congressional districts. He directed the live television coverage of the State of the Union address in 1993 and 1994. Education Mr. Cox holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television from Radford University. Carmine Battafarano President, HMI Communications and HMI Technical Solutions Carmine Battafarano has more than 25 years' experience in technically complex operations and business management positions. Professional Experience Mr. Battafarano joined Henkels & McCoy, a subsidiary of HMI Services' parent company, Henkels & McCoy Group, as Vice President of Corporate Development in 2013 where he led strategic planning for the company. Prior to joining Henkels & McCoy, Mr. Battafarano served as the Chief Marketing Officer for a global utilities engineering firm and the Senior Vice President of their international Operations & Maintenance business unit. He previously practiced environmental/energy law and served as a power plant manager and an asset manager for a national energy company. Education Mr. Battafarano holds a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, and attended the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton Executive Program on Mergers & Acquisitions. He is a licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey, a Certified Energy Manager, a licensed State of New Jersey Stationary Chief Engineer, and a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Unlimited Chief Engineer. Thomas M. Jones Vice President, HMI Services Thomas Jones is an experienced utility infrastructure executive with expertise in strategic business development and client relations. Professional Experience Mr. Jones has over 25 years of utility industry experience in the development of projects in a broad range of industries ranging from utility infrastructure, communications, electric transmission and distribution, and pipeline facilities. His extensive experience has provided the expertise to analyze and manage all aspects of business development from strategic planning to engineering and construction management. Mr. Jones is a Civil Engineer focusing on hydraulics, surveying, and construction management. Industry & Civic Involvement Mr. Jones is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Telecom Infra Project, Western Energy Alliance, Southern Gas Association, Associated General Contractors of America, NUCA, NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, WTA – Advocates for Rural Broadband, and the International Right of Way Association. Edward W. Campbell Vice President of Operations, HMI Communications and HMI Utilities Edward (Ed) W. Campbell has over 35 years of operational leadership experience. Professional Experience Mr. Campbell joined Henkels & McCoy, a subsidiary of HMI Services' parent company, Henkels & McCoy Group, in 1981. Advancing through positions of increasing responsibility, he was promoted to Vice President and Division Manager of the Southwest Division in 1999, and served a term on Henkels & McCoy's Board of Directors. In 2005, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations for the West Region. In 2016, he transitioned to the newly formed HMI Communications, LLC, as Vice President of Operations. Industry & Civic Involvement Mr. Campbell is an active member and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Power & Communication Contractors Association (PCCA), and is a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the Southern Gas Association (SGA), and the Western Energy Institute (WEI).
