Doug Psulkowski, Project Manager at HMI Technical Solutions (HMITS), is leading the presentation “Distributed LiDAR for As-Builts,” at the Energy Association of Pennsylvania’s Electric Transmission & Distribution Committee Meeting September 7, 2018 Blue Bell, PA – HMI has announced that Doug Psulkowski, Project Manager at HMI Technical Solutions (HMITS), is leading the presentation “Distributed LiDAR for As-Builts,” on September 18, 2018 at the Energy Association of Pennsylvania’s Electric Transmission & Distribution Committee Meeting. The event will be held the Eden Resort & Suites, Lancaster, PA. The presentation is based on a pilot project that HMI has been executing for Duquesne Light in their footprint around Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Psulkowski will provide an overview of how mobile ground LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) can be used to review NESC clearances on power distribution lines. In addition, he will overview the clearances and methods of LiDAR data collection, and preliminary results from the pilot project will be shared. A representative from the LiDAR service provider is expected to contribute to the presentation as well.
